my bold 9700 battery drain at 50 percent and won't charge
 

When ever my black berry 9700 battery is at 50 percent or 40 percent, it use to show me battery drained. And whenever I plug it to charge, it only show me steady red light which will go off after some seconds. And it won't charge untill I charge the battery with external charger. After charging it with external charger, the battery will continue to charge with usb or wall charger when the phone is on. I don't know wether this is a hard ware or software problem, pls help me out thanks.

Try a new battery but make sure it's a Blackberry OEM battery not a knockoff.
