17MB Free is that a lot?

I have 17MB free (says my status) with at 4GB card in my 8320

Now is that a lot free or should there be more?

...some might say that is a tad low for an 8320. might try freeing up some space.

17mb free is a good number for your device. 10MB is low, I would say 17MB is cool.

I run about the same on my 8310, when it dips below 12-14MB free, I reset with a battery pull or soft reset.

The media card isn't relevant. It doesn't increase device memory. It allows you to keep things (namely space hogging media files) out of device memory.

17MB is a lot of space. Look at the sizes of applications. They're tiny -- measured in Kb -- for the most part. Check the sizes of your databases. Your email, contacts, etc don't take much space.
