Can the 9800 Ping?

Have looked through multiple threads.. would like to find a simple approach to ping from BB 9800 software ver is 6.0 to IP addresses across wifi connection. Some threads mention using Wifi utilities menu, can't find in my Torch. Any suggestions? Need to be able to run on the phone, not through a remote server. :?
