UMA Connected; WiFi Connected...Cannot make Calls or Send Emails BBM's
Hi, I have an 8900 on Rogers network and i am connected to "UMA" (not "uma") and "WiFi" is bright white. I have opened all the relevant UDP/TCP ports (500, 53, 4500, etc); i have ipsec enabled...but when i try to send an email or a Blackberry Messenger, or make a call, i cannot. Making a call results in a "Call Failed" message, and send emails, IM's results in a clock icon and the message not going through. As soon as the BB rolls back to EDGE, all messages complete and call can be made....
Oh, i should mention that for the first minute or so under "UMA" and WiFi, i can send email and IM's, and make calls, then it stops allowing me to (even though UMA is still connected etc.) Any suggestions? |
Have you already done a hard reset, where you remove the battery from the device for 20 seconds then reinsert?
|
Yes, hard reset has been performed multiple times. Every time i tweak the router, i remove the battery on the 8900 to reset the device.

I never had any problem with any device (8520,8900..) with wifi and uma. Needless to say that I have never opened any port as well. I connect to wifi and set device to wifi preffered. That's it.

i cannot make a call with uma wifi how to solve the error code w006.1
|
Uma
If you got WiFi but no UMA then reset your ISP modem and see what happens. The error w006.1,2 or 3 is with not connecting with the net.
