Suretype Blackberry Pearl - access Address Book via "A" doesn't work.
 

Is there any keyboard shortcut to bring up the Address Book on the Blackberry Pearl. Lots of instructions for other Blackberry's that aren't suretype like Pearl is, which is why we can't turn off dialing from the home screen option. When that is on, pressing and holding down the letter "A" won't bring up the address book.

How can we do this on the Pearl? Mine is an 8230.

You can't use the keyboard shortcuts on a Suretype device. Sorry.

I was afraid of that. Besides the convenience keys, which I don't like to use since I used to keep pressing them when I gripped the phone and got very frustrated with that till I figured out what these convenience keys are, is there _no_way_ to bring up the address book easily?

When I press the green dial button, yes, some sort of address book view comes up but not the one that shows what I need. I have numerous entries in any given contact that just doesn't appear in that view easily and only appears when I access the address book directly. But that means navigating away from the scheduler all the time which is a pain.

Any ideas regarding some sort of shortcut on the Pearl to bring up the address book would be welcome. Thanks. :)
