No Sync on mail
 

Hello all,
I am a new BES admin and have a problem with our 4.0 eval for exchange. I currently receive the mail with no problem.. If I delete emails on the BB they are not being deleted on the desktop when outlook 2003 is opened later (hours later) I have looked at my settings and all look good and can not figure this one out..... :bb:

And you have checked on the handheld: Messages-->wheel click -->options -->email reconciliation-->set to delete on desktop and handheld? It is never really fast. Also, I have heard that if you have the e-mail set to cache on the computer in 2003 that sometimes it won't delete out, but I am not really sure on that. Good luck!

If you got into messages/click/reconcile now, do you get reconciliation?

Best test is to send four messages to yourself.

- Delete #1 on handheld
- Delete #2 on outlook
- Mark #3 read on handheld
- Mark #4 read on Outlook

Now force a reconcile on the handheld, then see what the results are.

That did it, I looked all over in the BES but never looked in the BB.

The "delete on" option keeps reverting to handheld....

I have the same issue, but the delete on is not reverting...

i went in and changed it from "desktop" to "web client" on the BB, now i need to test it and see if it is working.. At least it does not revert to handheld now. If this works then I need to sit down and read the IT Policy section real well since it would seem to point to that. I will keep you posted. One of us will find the problem and resolve it!!!!!!

On "Web Client" marking things as read works, but the delete sync still not working :(

On a hunch, I updated my BB os to the new 4.0 out for the 7520, it now appears that it is working correctly, Email Reconcillation is set back to "desktop" and it does delete on the desktop if you delete it on the BB.....

Which of us are you talking to? Theres me, Graywolf, and him GreyWolfe.
My 7290 is already at OS 4.0 :(

I would need to check on the exact version but it is the new one that came out for the Nextel 7520 and I have to apologize not realizing that there were a pack of wolves posting here :) as long as it helps, it is directed to both of you. The version for the BB is 4.0.2.37 and the Desktop software is 4.0.1.10 and this is for the 7520 on Nextel

I think that I have finally found the solution to the problem, I went in and set the IT policy and didnt leave anything to chance with the choices. Then I sent it and so far, the reconsile has been working great......
