Thanks hdawg, I've got my lunchtime reading for the rest of the week now.

JavaJunkee 07-16-2008 05:24 PM

Hmmmm,

Was expecting this to be resolved (OOF Issue) -

. . . but I see no mention of it. :-(

boma0021 07-17-2008 01:52 AM

anyone knows when this release is going to be alive?

rasobey 07-17-2008 06:42 AM

Still no resolution for when you move mailboxes to a new group/store on the SAME server, where the BES simply doesn't pick it up. The workaround (for me) has no effect.

Anything anyone says is a guess. I'm guessing now that this is posted ... within 2 weeks.

The workaround where you move the users mailbox to a different server, run a reload user, and then move the mailbox back to the original server?

It looks like RIM might have taken the documentation offline. Following the link for Exchange servers, I can only find documentation for up to 4.1.5.

cancundan 07-17-2008 12:24 PM

It seems that the link has been pulled (it takes you to SP5 notes). I heard from a guy who knows these things that SP6 is probably a September release. But I did take a quick look yesterday, and there is a utility that you can schedule to run periodically to re-sync everyone's calendar. That's nice.....

skooter_15 07-17-2008 07:46 PM

All the 4.1 SP6 documents/downloads seem to be up. Has anyone installed it yet?

I am unable to post links but I just went to Optus Mobile downloads and then selected BES v4.1 for MS Exchange and found it under there.

Looks like BES 4.1.6 is online, and it addresses the PDF distiller vulnerability. Downloading now...

Yep. 4.1.6 updater is on the support site and the full install is on the ftp site.

For those who missed the release notes, new features appear to be html email, OCS 2007 support, bes-wide calendar synchronization, hard delete rescans, etc...

Upgraded BES from 4.1.5 to 4.1.6 with no problems. HTML email looks great!

Installed today with no problems!

ashworth 07-18-2008 07:06 AM

Installed without any issues.

dpeters11 07-18-2008 07:35 AM

In the release notes, it references a document "Impact of supporting HTML and rich-content email messages." I cannot find this, and want to get it, our Exchange admin is nervous about this causing issues with the Exchange servers (though we have no 4.5 devices at this point.) I searched the KB, logged in as a T2 subscriber and can't seem to find it.

The BES will look at the device capabilities and if you are not running 4.5 HH code then it will still get the email in plain text. Only if you have 4.5 HH code will it even think about parsing the email in HTML.

Ok, now the question, is this for all 3 email platforms, or just Notes and Exchange?
