Slow opening of contacts in BB Asisstence
 

Hi;


I have been facing a problem now days that in home menu, if i type a name of contacts, contact appears but when i tab it for open, system takes 5-10sec to open this contact. This problem appeared past two weeks ago. Before, system opened the contacts immediately.

My BB Q10 has latest software. Please help out to overcome this problem.

Slow response could be low memory. check to see if your high.
The 8900 has 256 meg of internal app storage which has to also run the phone OS.

You can try deleting a few apps if you installed any recently

If your saying the phone was the Q10 then the same issue stands. check the amount of memory. The phone standard is 16GB internal memory and should be enough to support a lot of Apps but check anyway.
Also some Apps run continuously and slow down the operation. Just to name a few, GPS Apps, Facebook, Twitter etc. Not all cause problems but if your doing something when one is updating or attempting to run in the background it can slow things down. You might also do a repower to reload the phone in case any corrupted memory is running. Pulling the battery for a few minutes and replacing should clear any junk.

Some have options to not check periodically and some do not and check constantly. You just have to check each and try to do a manual check. This of course will cause you to check for updates on the ones you need.
If you want to delete any you don't need just hold your finger on the icon and when the trash can shows tap it. You can delete any optional or added apps but you cannot delete any required by the OS.
