"Embedded message text insertion is disabled" ?

My customers and I are getting this message when a forwarded message reaches a handheld.

Is there a setting in the BES that I'm missing? I can't seem to find anything that would cause this.

Thanks in advance.

Here's what RIM's KB has to say about that error, assuming you're running GroupWise:

Procedure

When an email message is forwarded as an attachment by the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to the BlackBerry device, the email messagemay include an unrelated embedded object (for example, an embedded email message from the Novell GroupWise server). When the same email message is delivered to the BlackBerry device userxxx8217;s email application, the message includes only the correct attachments. This issue does not occur if the message is forwarded as text and not as an attachment.

In BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1.3, a registry value is added that by default prevents the forwarding of embedded email messages. As a result, if an email message that includes an embedded object is forwarded to a BlackBerry device by the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server removes the embedded text from the email message and replaces it with the following note:

Embedded message text insertion is disabled. Users can read any text that was added before the message was forwarded, but they cannot read the original text of the message.

If the BlackBerry device users in your organization require the ability to forward embedded messages, and your organization accepts the risk that an email message might contain unrelated embedded content, you can change the default registry value by performing the following steps:

Warning: The following procedure involves modifying the computer registry. This can cause substantial damage to the Microsoft® Windows® operating system. Document and back up the registry entries prior to implementing any changes.

1. On the computer which hosts the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, open the Registry Editor.
2. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents.
3. Create a new DWORD value called DisableEmbeddedMessages.
4. Right-click the DisableEmbeddedMessages value, and click Modify.
5. Set the value to 0.
6. Click OK.
7. Close the Registry Editor.
8. Restart the BlackBerry Controller service.

Thanks for the speedy reply.
We are using GroupWise. I'll talk with our crack security team and see if they want to allow this.

If you implemented this fix and are still having problems be sure to check the spelling of the Registry Key. I had copied and pasted from the 4.1SP3 release notes and it's misspelled "DisableEmbeddedMessage" without the s at the end. The correct key is with the S "DisableEmbeddedMessages"
