Yo Mamma Jokes via Text
I started getting these text jokes several times a day. There is no way to tell where they come from. I delete and later I get another. Is there a number I can text with STOP, QUIT or whatworks? Appreciate any help. Its on my 7520 Nextel. I have already talked with Nextel/Sprint Customer Service and they are no help.
Thanks, MIKE |
In your MESSAGES there are two default filter options: Filter Subject and Filter Sender. Set those up and that might help.

you should just be able to reply "STOP" to the number that sends you the jokes.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't fully explain that there is no from address and I can't reply since there is no return address or number to send a stop too. If anyone sees a number advertised where you can get jokes sent to you, please let me know. Nextel says they can't reverse find how to see where a message comes from. In this day of technolgy, I don't understand! Oh well.
Again, thanks to those replied and any help anybody can give. MIKE aka Uturn |
are the jokes even any good?

Can you reply to the message? If so, that might be a way to unmask the originating address/number.

It depends on the account. Some people can, some can't depending on whos set up your account and if they set it up correctly. My 7520 at work recently just started to be able to send and recieve txt like normal (for the past two years, it has never been able to send or recieve txt). Suprisingly there really isn't a delay with the txt msg like most iDEN customers suffer from. Its really nextel and how backwards they are. Very random. |
