I really do not know what to say, it's there, now it isn't.

This carrier is really annoying.

Free - Envoyez vos documents Just tried this link. It goes directly to 7.1 AllLang. File Sharing site. I was just about to download and link it up on ge.tt Looks like this link works.

[If an Mod could erase all these other links. That would be awesome.]

Downloaded and installed. Battery lasts longer. Like the hotshot feature. Only beef was that I lost my custom ring and alert profiles. Spent an hour trying to set them up again.

Re: Latest OS 9900 7.1.0.921/7.1.0.267 (All Languages)

My new 9900 arrived yesterday afternoon. I was upgrading from a 9800.
I ended up using the Asian version from one of the links to the SK site. The direct link to the All Languages in post 23 downloaded a small executable file which, when clicked, my computer said it was not compatable with 64 bit windows.
Asian gave me English so that is fine. Looked like I was getting Japanise and Chineze characters also. It has been so long that I did a major OS upgrade that I am not sure how to get rid of unnecessary stuff.
I did a switch device from my 9800, both data and 3rd party apps. It chocked on Blackberry AppWorld as not being compatable, DM shut down and I did not get any other apps teransferred from AppWorld on.
A corrupted version of the standard Blackberry Theme appeared (with no row of icons showing as default. I had been using a third party primarily calendar app which worked mostly OK on my 9800, but which will not work at all on my 9900.
So after the truncated switch device I loaded up 7.1.0.267, to see if the corrupted standard Blackberry theme with a default of no rows of icons would do the trick. No luck.
I did a BBSAK wipe and reloaded .267 and I have at least one row of icons by default. Will now have to reload all my third party apps, manually (I have a BBSAK backup, but am now concerned about compatability issues with the new hardware and OS up from 6.0) from app world or directly form 3rd party sites.
Tried hotspot last night and it seem to work well.

Re: Latest OS 9900 7.1.0.921/7.1.0.267 (All Languages)

On major negative so far. I am new to both the 9900 and OS7+, having come from the the torch 9800 on OS6.
One of the the things I could do with the 9800 touchscreen would be to quickly go through my list of e-mails and delete, forward or reply on the screen by pressing X etc at the bottom of the touch screen on my Torch. It does not seem to be available on my touch screen Bold 9900. This was a major convenience on my Torch 9800. Is this not possible with the Bold 9900? If so it may be going back.

I meant the hotspot feature. Not really liking the predictive text on the Playbook OS 2.0 a whole lot.

Do you not have the option to turn it off? At first I used to try to type everything with predictive on the PB, but after awhile, I just found it easier to type the whole thing out. Nice option to have, but I have hated predictive since my V3 days.

On the 99xx, while in the message list, you press and hold your finger on the message. A popup list will appear offering all of the choices available for the message. The popup options are also customizable in Options>>Touchscreen Sensitivity

Just went on the blackberry website and telus most recent one is: v7.0.0.2406

:(

It would save me lot of trouble if they release the 7.1 officially as I'm on telus

What kind of trouble? Just download the leak - it's no different from the official release. I'm on Bell, same network as Telus. Using 7.1.0.267 since it was leaked a while back - working well and no real issues to speak of.

Well if it's tellus official then I would go into my BB and look for upgrade and install directly instead of using the desktop manager.

Bell Mobility, Telus, and Sask-Tel have all released OTA versions of their official OS.

I went to SK link the first link (Clue in the file name)... Bricked my BB, but then I revived it and am now very pleased with 7.1 (not that I have used it yet, but at least it loaded and now I have restored data! Fingers crossed it's a nice OS!

Here is the link to the Telus download site for 7.1. However I believe T-Mobile has released a more current OS than .267 https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...1E8ECEE6.node1

Telus Version 7.1.0.921 Predictive Text ?

I dont have the option anywhere to set this, help tells me to go from main screen Options > Typing and Language. I dont have T+L from options on the main sceen at all. When I go search for Language under universal search I get options to change languages for typing, voice etc but nothing about predictive text.
Any ideas where its hiding ?

Re: Latest OS 9900 7.1.0.921/7.1.0.267 (All Languages)

Options>>Typing and Language>>Typing: Change Style from 'Direct' to 'Predictive'. Then you can change the advanced options if you enable predictive.
