Having trouble setting up email on my Curve

Should be pretty simple, I follwed the directions below, but so far I can't send or receive emails, and don't connect to the emails I know are present there.

From the home screen, go to Setup.
Click Setup Wizard.
Click Email Setup.
In the setup wizard, on the email setup screen, select the I want to create or add an email address option.
Click Next.
Click Next to open the email setup website on your smartphone.
If you agree to the legal terms and conditions, click I Accept.
On the Email Setup screen, select your email service provider. If you don’t see your email service provider listed, select Other.
Type the email address information and click Next.
Click Ok.
To create a new email address for your smartphone, click Add and then click Create New Address. Type your desired BlackBerry email address and password.
Choose a secret question from the list or create your own. Then enter the answer in the space provided. Click Next.
Click Ok.
To log out of the email setup website, click Close.

It is simple, if you have a blackberry data plan . . . Not just any mobile data plan, but the one specifically for blackberry. Do you?

I finally got it set up, thanks to someone at Verizon who actually knew what he was talking about. No, its just a regular unlimited data plan, hadn't heard of BB specific data plans.

Verizon require a blackberry data plan when you have blackberry. Also, by the fact you've set it up correctly, you have a blackberry data plan. Without one, it wouldn't allow you to set it up.

Not anymore. Verizon changed it. Like MD said, they require a BB plan and you can only get email with that BB plan. Welcome to the collective. Resistance is futile.
