Since MTS is Canadian, could the access be IP controlled? Could someone from Canada see if they can download the file?

dagwn 08-11-2008 02:15 PM

no can do...same error message for us canadians, eh...

John Clark 08-11-2008 02:24 PM

Someone with MTS service needs to give them a call!

zerog46 08-11-2008 02:42 PM

Still no go...

lord_jefe 08-11-2008 03:09 PM

Well I got it downloaded and installed. As they haven"t upgraded Blackberry Professional Server to support HTML, there's no major differences. :(

Which would be illegal and non-postable on the forums here... so please don't inform us in a post here if anyone does so.

Same here finally!

Can anybody upload this to a mirror also?

CoreyGmaN 08-11-2008 04:03 PM

oh did not see the part about it being illegal, sorry!

StuartV 08-11-2008 04:03 PM

I don't know if this is related or not, but the download gave me an error every time, when I did not check the Remember Me box on the page where you enter your name, address, etc.. I went to the page where I could download Desktop Manager v4.5 and did that, and that time I checked the Remember Me box. Then I tried again on the OS. The page with the name, address, etc. came up pre-filled (and the Remember Me box checked). I clicked on Agree (or whatever it is) and this time it let me on through with no error.

lord_jefe 08-11-2008 04:16 PM

Actually, I had gone to try to upgrade my Professional server, and wound up downloading the security update, and when I went back, it was prepopulated, & working.

It's got to be something wrong with their authentication.

Phranc 08-11-2008 04:20 PM

Whatever their problem was, it seems to be fixed. I agree, it was probably the authentication script not working. There is no "remember me" option on the page I filled out.

zerog46 08-11-2008 04:20 PM

Working good now.

joser89 08-11-2008 04:26 PM

It works now!!!!! Thx for the link

kingmanor 08-11-2008 04:44 PM

just to be clear this will work on Verizon yes?

joser89 08-11-2008 04:46 PM

Yes, on any carriers OS just follow the instructions in the 1st post and you will be good to go..

debbiemc 08-11-2008 04:48 PM

Sorry for such a basic question ... I've downloaded the new OS, but the Desktop Manager doesn't prompt me to upgrad. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

JSanders 08-11-2008 05:00 PM

You likely have not followed the instructions in order, from the first post.

Did you delete the vendor.xml file?

bbsadaj 08-11-2008 05:02 PM

did you do this?
3. Locate the vendor.xml file and delete it. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
