Since MTS is Canadian, could the access be IP controlled? Could someone from Canada see if they can download the file?
no can do...same error message for us canadians, eh...
Someone with MTS service needs to give them a call!
Still no go...
Well I got it downloaded and installed. As they haven"t upgraded Blackberry Professional Server to support HTML, there's no major differences. :(

oh did not see the part about it being illegal, sorry!

I don't know if this is related or not, but the download gave me an error every time, when I did not check the Remember Me box on the page where you enter your name, address, etc.. I went to the page where I could download Desktop Manager v4.5 and did that, and that time I checked the Remember Me box. Then I tried again on the OS. The page with the name, address, etc. came up pre-filled (and the Remember Me box checked). I clicked on Agree (or whatever it is) and this time it let me on through with no error.

Actually, I had gone to try to upgrade my Professional server, and wound up downloading the security update, and when I went back, it was prepopulated, & working.
It's got to be something wrong with their authentication. |
Whatever their problem was, it seems to be fixed. I agree, it was probably the authentication script not working. There is no "remember me" option on the page I filled out.

Working good now.
It works now!!!!! Thx for the link
just to be clear this will work on Verizon yes?
Yes, on any carriers OS just follow the instructions in the 1st post and you will be good to go..
Sorry for such a basic question ... I've downloaded the new OS, but the Desktop Manager doesn't prompt me to upgrad. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
You likely have not followed the instructions in order, from the first post.
Did you delete the vendor.xml file? |
did you do this?
3. Locate the vendor.xml file and delete it. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader |
