removing enterprise activation

Hi, I had previously activated my BB9900 on my previous employer Bes express and when I left I deleted my user and removed me from the database ( I was the IT guy) now when I tried using the enterprise activation application (I only have a blackberry internet service not the enterprise plan on my blackberry I can't activate over the air without this application) I got the message saying that I was already registered on another server, something like "unable to activated your device. Delete the data from your blackberry device and try to activate again." My phone is in french so it's a rough translation of the message. I tried removing the enterprise activation application but now when I go into app world i can see this application but it keep saying that it's uninstalled and doesn't offer me to re-install it. I saw somewhere on the internet a suggestion about removing stuff in the service book so I deleted everytyhing called "desktop" from the service book but I still can't install the application to do an enterprise activation. So any suggestion would be appreciated. I went into option to wipe my phone and did a partial wipe (delete all application from the phone) again partial translation but still no good. if I upgrade the phone OS will that be enough to restore the factory settings and if not how do I do a complete wipe of the phone to restore it to factory default.

Thanks !

my phone: bold 9900 7.0 pack 1346 v7.0.0.261
carrier: Telus

Re: removing enterprise activation

Easiest way - download Javawipe (RIM app) and wipe the device. Backup your data 1st so you can restore what you need as you need it (selective restore).

You can download it here and simply follow the instructions - http://www.blackberryforums.com/atta...der-v1.9.4.zip

You will have to use the DM to re-install your OS once this is done. I'd suggest you upgrade your OS at the same time to .440 (leaked).

Hi and thanks for the quick reply. Where can I get this .440 version of the os ? I'm trying to download the .439 version from the main sticky but the RIM website is having problem since a couple of days and I have not been able to complete the download yet and it doesn't support resume so I have to restart each time.

Right here!
Free File Hosting, Online Storage &amp File Upload with FileServe

Also, when you installe, follow the OS install directions at the top of this forum...and remove everything you will not use, including languages.

I just downloaded .439 from the RIM web site; took about 6 minutes.

The correct name of the program to wipe a BlackBerry is Javaloader (not Javawipe) and you find JL_CMDR - a shell around Javaloader - here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-...-jl_cmder.html

I must be getting old and senile - you're right, but I don't use JL_Commander. I use the wipe.bat file included with the Javaloader.exe app. One click and it's done!

I think it's best to start a new thread to get help by more people.

Quick note to say thanks as my activation problem was solved and my OS updated successfully, I didn't took the latest OS as there was post about problem so I updated using the previous version.
