Yes, another BOLD NEWBIE.

I just picked up a BlackBerry Bold and I wanted to know if some of you guys got any tips worth sharing, what to do, what not to do. Oh and what apps can I download for gmail and MSN Messenger? Thanks in advance :)

Thanks dwella, I'm reading through it right now :) I'm just a little paranoid when it comes to cellphones. My old phone was this Sony Ericsson K550i or something like that, it was nightmare. After installing applications and games, my phone constantly freezing, getting black screens, among other things. I tried formatting, deleting the downloaded software, everything, still I'd get constant lockups. So I just want to make sure I don't do anything that could ruin my Bold.

*sigh*
don't update to a beta release.... considering your a bold newbie.

FrankTheRabbit 02-06-2009 07:26 AM

Alright, I won't update then. Quick question though, I started charging the phone for the first time last night, how long would I have to leave it charging before using it. I started off at 8 PM last night, it's 7:25 AM now. Just don't want to ruin the battery life.

Oops I opened a new thread for this, I checked that site out but let me get this straight, I DON'T have to charge my batter for 18 straight hours right? Take a look at my new thread, you'll see what I mean.

234 is working pretty dam flawless I must say. It has a slight memory link but not as bad as anything else and the antenna is very sensitive and responsive.

that may be true, but if you are new to blackberrys or just the bold and have never used a beta release, its not the best idea.
