Unable to get handset to activate - BESX

Hello, I have installed my BESX on Exchange 2007 using the training video from RIM. I have installed it using the besadmin account, and setting all permissions (I guess) correctly. When I run iemstest.exe for the besadmin user I get the following:

Code:

BlackBerry Enterprise Server Utility - IEMSTest.exe (IExchangeManag

Opening Default Message Store Mailbox - besadmin

besadmin: CDO logon successful

besadmin: Get calendar folder name successful: 'Calendar'

besadmin: Active Directory permissions test completed successfully

When I run this tool on a user I am trying to get activated, everything passes just like above.

The email in the inbox that gets sent to the user, just sits in the mailbox and the activation screen on the handset just sits there. I have called Verizon to verify it does have the enterprise data plan active for this account.

I am wondering about the ports needed for the Handset to get back to the server for activation. All tests pass when I test for connectivity on the server, but are there ports needed so the handset can get back into the firewall for activation?

I'm stumped here...

What else can I look for next? Logs? Thank you for anyone who replies.

You need to open port 3101.

Are you doing this wireless or wired?
