No EDGE in caps when using App World on 9550
 

I got an unlocked Storm 2 (9550) on the Digicel network in Jamaica. When using App World it won't stay on EDGE in all caps. It just says loading. When I press the end/hang up button and return to the home screen i see edge is no longer in cars. when I return to App World it says I am unable to connect try later. I have tried later :-( No luck. called my provider but the could not help. Is it because I am using GSM only and this is a GSM/CDMA phone. By the way I can use App World via WiFi @ work. Is there a fix for this?

The EDGE in caps appears only when your data communication is through BIS / BES. App World or other applications (for example: Google Maps) may try to use TCP/IP as data communication gateway. In such cases, the icon would be "edge" in small.

How do I get App World to use only BIS. Is there a setting to do so?

OK I actually fixed this problem this morning
It's relatively simple actually

Go to options->Advanced Options->Service Books
When there delete the wap service books and it should work fine from there on out
