Atlas? Tour?
 

New to the forum..... and was wondering if there is any additional news on the wifi enabled "Tour" (possibly the "Atlas?) I have kept up with the forums, and haven't seen anything about it in a while. I was excited about the Tour, then completely taken back when it was announced to have no wifi (I fly a lot or am stuck in the bowels of a big concrete gov. building and need this).

I apologize, I know the "no wifi" banter thing is getting old, but I sure could use some help before I make a decision prematurely, especially if (according to a BGR source) another phone with wifi similar to the Tour we be released very shortly thereafter. I don't know if was destined for VZW, Sprint, Att, or T-Mo.

No tour enabled Wifi have been rumored about..

Nearest CDMA berry with wifi is rumored to the Storm 2 (Oden I think)

Maybe I misspoke, I am not sure it was a "Tour" with wifi, but rather a bb with that same form factor as a "Tour/Bold with wifi. After my IPhone, I will not get another touchscreen....just not for me.

So any news on, well, basically a updated "Bold" for a CDMA carrier?

That's suppose to be the Bold for CDMA carriers/Tour.

So the Bold is coming out for CDMA carriers....OK, thank you very much. Now....next question, any idea when?

July 12-13 for VZW, July 20 for Sprint. All dates rumored.

hmm..the Tour is coming out on July 12th, not a Bold with wifi on CDMA. The tour still has no wifi.

Rumor said the Tour is suppose to be the Bold for CDMA carriers....

I don't know whether or not we will see a 9030.. There are no wifi CDMA berries to date hopefully that will change soon enough.

as for Atlas, which is the rumored "wifi tour" that won't be out for a while if not for a loooong time after the Tour's released. Steve is right, the next one probably out is the Storm 2, now if the rumors hold true, Verizon said that this point on after the Tour's release, all BlackBerry's should have wifi, but I have a grain of salt against that comment or statement.

Not exactly true. The Atlas has been rumored to be a Tour with WiFi. It was also rumored to be released in the near future. We know that early Niagara test units had WiFi, so we could see this before long.

Sprint will have a WIFI Tour next year some time. Verizon wouldn't say, but I am guessing they will follow sometime but maybe slowly.
It wasn't worth the wait for me.
