Cookie-controlled popups?
 

Am I the only one annoyed by this site's constant "Register Here" popup that re-displays where ever I go?

Just a little FYI ... it's easy to control that popup with a cookie so it only displays once.

I've posted a suggestion to the Admin.... but no guarantees; he has the Ultimate Say... Send me a PM about how to control cookies using JavaScript and I'll see what I can do; I know JavaScript programming but I don't know how to do cookies using JavaScript. (As web development isn't the primary work that I do) We may want to display it everytime an unregistered user revisits, so we probably want a quickly-expiring cookie. Can you PM me an example doing a JavaScript cookie?

There is a very good reason that the message gets displayed, but you're right about it popping up every click -- I run into it a lot because I have 5 computers and there's my dad's computer, as well as the laptop and work too.
