9810 & Google Maps

I just replaced my 9800 with a 9810. I had Google Maps installed on my old phone and I would often use the Google Maps traffic feature. I tried installing Google Maps app v4.5.3 on my 9810 but every time I try to launch it, the terms and conditions page comes up then after a minute I get an error message "Serious error. Please exit and restart." It also says "Data connection lost, retrying..."

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing it several times but no luck.

I've also uninstalled BB Maps.

9810
7.1 Bundle 921 (v7.1.0.267, Platform 5.1.0.230)

Anyone with a 9810 have a problem installing Google Maps?

Any ideas?

I have 7.1 Bundle 1310 (v7.1.0.391, Platform 5.1.0.319). I'm running Google Maps v4.5.3 without problems. An OS upgrade may fix your problem.

I do have the latest Platform available from my provider Rogers.

I followed the instruction to load v3 then v4.53 overtop and it now works fine. Yay!
