SIM card registered as T-Mobile now says ATT

I have an international SIM card that when I originally put it in my unlocked phone it said T-Mobile. (It isn't T-Mobile but appears to run on their network is my guess) I went ahead and got an actual T-Mobile SIM so that I could download the OS and Service Books from T-Mobile. Now that it is all done, I put the international SIM back into the phone and it now registers wtih ATT at the top! Any ideas on how to get it back to saying T-mobile? The APN still registers as T-Mobile.

HELP! :?

AT&T is purchasing T-Mobile. Solving your issue would be useless.

Great news. Any ideas when this will occur?

P.S. No one knows.

It will be years before this is finalized.

Sounds to me like the BlackBerry is connecting to the strongest network available. Go to Manage Connections > Mobile Network Options and see what's set. If it's 'automatic' you might be able to change it to your preferred carrier.

The T-mobile acquisition should be approved by the end of the year, and finalized by summer 2012.

Also, since roaming agreements have been reached between T-Mobile and AT&T many years ago, there is no practical reason to worry about which network you are using.

Since the FCC has stopped the clock on the acquisition I don't see how anyone has any real idea.
