SIM card registered as T-Mobile now says ATT
I have an international SIM card that when I originally put it in my unlocked phone it said T-Mobile. (It isn't T-Mobile but appears to run on their network is my guess) I went ahead and got an actual T-Mobile SIM so that I could download the OS and Service Books from T-Mobile. Now that it is all done, I put the international SIM back into the phone and it now registers wtih ATT at the top! Any ideas on how to get it back to saying T-mobile? The APN still registers as T-Mobile.

Re: SIM card registered as T-Mobile now says ATT
AT&T is purchasing T-Mobile. Solving your issue would be useless.

Sounds to me like the BlackBerry is connecting to the strongest network available. Go to Manage Connections > Mobile Network Options and see what's set. If it's 'automatic' you might be able to change it to your preferred carrier.

Re: SIM card registered as T-Mobile now says ATT
The T-mobile acquisition should be approved by the end of the year, and finalized by summer 2012.
Also, since roaming agreements have been reached between T-Mobile and AT&T many years ago, there is no practical reason to worry about which network you are using. |
Re: SIM card registered as T-Mobile now says ATT
Since the FCC has stopped the clock on the acquisition I don't see how anyone has any real idea.
