How to uninstall or delete 3rd party app

I installed funambol on my BB 8100. I want to uninstall it but when I go to options > advanced options > applications and then select funambol, there is no delete option... So I tried using the desktop manager, and when I go into Application Loader, it shows Funambol but its greyed out! What can I do to get rid of this?

I am not familiar with Funambal, but if you are the adventurous type, you might try deleting the application modules directly.

To get there is similar to where your delete option doesn't show: Options, Advanced Options, Applications. From there, click the Menu key and select Modules.

If you are lucky, you will spot Funambal by it's name, similar to what you'd see in the Applications list one screen back. If so, you MAY be able to click the Menu key with the undesired module highlighted and select Delete.

If you are not so lucky, the application modules may have a complex name, but usually the module(s) will have the name of the application (possibly abbreviated) in it somewhere. I would leave all the net_rim_ stuff alone.

There may be a lot of scrolling, depending on what else you have installed but if you are careful and thorough, you can delete applications this way when there is no other way.

For those interested, ever try deleting Weatherbug? Sure, the icon may be gone but the modules are still there. Scroll down to the bottom of the modules list and see all those wb_ modules? Yep, those are from Weatherbug.

Solved it

"What cod files did you install on the device?

Download this application: JL_Cmder Javaloader Utility (I can't post links yet so search for it)

Extract the zip and get only javaloader.exe file.

Let's say funambol application cod file name is: funambol.cod

In your windows press Start-Run

Type cmd and press enter

In displayed window navigate the folder with javaloader.exe

connect your device and type the command:

javaloader -usb erase -f funambol

and press Enter

It will delete this cod file from the device.
