RIM Outage

Is anyone else experiencing any data service outages related to RIM or your carrier.....our data service has been down since late last night but just for some and not all of our users:bb:

No outages that I've seen today...

kailanihawk 04-17-2008 06:28 PM

I'm in Washington, DC on ATT and we have been having problems all day. The data signal fluctuates from EDGE to edge to OFF. Rebooting, turning wireless off/on, sometimes fixes it, sometimes not. Our NYO is also experiencing the same problem. Our NOC confirmed that ATT is having problems in NY, DC, MD, NJ, PA and DE.

the SRP connection was down for about 15 minutes for me today, here in the DC area. It came back up and it took a bit for the que to clear out, but everything has been fine since. If the signal is going to OFF though, thats an AT&T issue not necessarily a RIM issue.

There Was An Outage In Ny, Wash Dc, Maryland, Ny City , Northern Nj, Eastern Pa And Southern Nj. Primary Issue Was Bb Connections To Gprs And Edge, Time Of Resolution Was 740 Edt. Time Of Duration: 2 Hrs 40 Mins.

I'm in NY and have been experiencing the same problems all week. My emails are not going through, but the text messages are. I've turned it off and on, but I get the switch from EDGE to edge.

The outage today was limited regionally, some on the eastern seaboard and some in the midwest. Even users on the same carrier in the same metro area were reporting outage while another was reporting the network was working.

@ Harper828, don't turn your BB off and back on, but rather PULL the batter with the device powered on, hold 30 seconds, replace and reboot.

I have been without email (with the exception of wireless network activation, and email activation, messages) since 1:30 PM Central (Texas) time today. I have done battery pulls, diagnostic tests, and test e-mails all day. Still nothing. I am using the 8100 on T-Mobile.

Email is down here and has been for about two hours now.

Southern Illinois. Verizon Wireless BIS.

bppilot 04-20-2008 02:42 AM

It's down for Verizon in Florida too... The BIS site for VZW is down too. Looks like it could be nationwide.

John Clark 04-20-2008 11:15 AM

Yes, there was an overnight BIS outage. Likely for a RIM update. Looks like it lasted about 3 hours.

Sith_Apprentice 04-20-2008 11:26 AM

never had any issues last night. got about 10 emails an hour for the night. on Tmo, Sprint, and AT&T. My VZW phone died (well, was destroyed) so couldnt verify there. BES was also up.

John Clark 04-20-2008 11:29 AM

I was told ahead of time about a BIS outage from 2-6am EDT. My device stopped getting email from 2am-5am EDT.

Sith_Apprentice 04-20-2008 11:31 AM

well there was one scheduled just never saw any downtime. heh

mbana 04-21-2008 02:08 PM

Is anyone having slowness issues today? Specifically BES. BIS and PIN seem to be fine.
I'm on Rogers network /canada EST

Thanks

We've only had one issue come across the BB-Outage list and that was in AZ this morning. Nothing else has come across.

JSanders 04-21-2008 02:14 PM

No slowdown noted here, AT&T, BIS, Alabama.
