OS: 8310 4.5.0.257/4.5.0.163 (Multilanguage)
BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.257 (Multilanguage)
Package Version: 4.5.0.257 Consisting of: * Applications: 4.5.0.163 * Software Platform: 2.7.0.92 * File name: 8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel257_PL2.7.0.92_A4.5.0.163_O2_UK. exe * File size: 89.9MB Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld. Download here: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...05D7C424EBAE5F Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 8310: 1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded. 2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." 3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file. The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization." If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device. For the previous OS, see this link: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...eastasian.html |

Muherfreakinsummabeachinsockruckin... I just FINALLY upgraded from .99 to .124 on Thursday! Such a pain getting all of your 3rd Party apps re-registered and reset. Thanks Raptor...guess I gotta get some beer and start all over :) David |
It seems fine to me! I don"t notice any difference except it runs a lil smoother
|
Same here. Works fine, everything's just a tad bit smoother.
|
Does it include Chinese in Multilanguage version? if not, what is the latest version contain Chinese for 8310?
Thanks. |

Has anyone noticed that the camera is much more stable in this build? Maybe its just me..

The biggest improvement I've seen is memory utilization (which I first saw with the rogue copy of 4.5.0.153).
I've seen an extra 5MB of memory available on my device since upgrading. It appears memory leaks must have been plugged as well, since I haven't seen the downward spiral of available memory over a period of days like I used to... |

I had a significant available memory drop from .124 (about 2 MB) but you are right. The memory does not seem to drop as rapidly as I was experiencing with .99 or .124 David |
Not sure where the other 4.5 posts went, but I have 4.5.0.110 and although I like the ability to have a video camera now, why does it only "fill up" about 3/4 of the screen, even with the settings on "fullscreen"? It's like the 240x180 setting doesn't fill it up? There is a black box, or frame all the way around the screen when you play it back, even without the stop and play buttons, etc? Weird.

Hmm, I went to the link and the newest OS I see there is 174.

Confirmed. Is it possible they pulled the stickied version for some reason? |

I am very curios too. I saw in another forum that when some users running .153 (I think that was the OS number) tried to load .163 the computer indicated they already had a higher OS running? David |
I lost all of my custom profiles when I upgraded to .163
This could be the reason they pulled it. |
