Playbook won't video chat
Hi
I've a new PB. I am new to BB and am not great with networks etc. I am trying to call my sister over wifi using video chat but both of us are experiencing the same message. It tries to connect then an error about network problem ends the attempt at connection. Could someone please advise what we should do. They are Christmas presents so we are anxious to get video chat working. Both have strong wifi signals.. Might it be a wifi firewall/setting issue? The exact error message may lead to a solution.
Do each of you have access to the networks to make changes, if necessary? If not then there may be nothing you can do about it. |

The exact message is 'your call failed due to a problem with the network connection. We both have access to changing our network connections Thanks Dave |

My experience has been that when the network is blocking or not allowing the video chat, the error message will make specific reference to the fact. I tend to doubt that is the problem.
If you haven't seen it yet, take a look at the following. KB26096-Troubleshooting Wi-Fi and networking on the BlackBerry PlayBook That isn't specific to the video chat app, but it should help with troubleshooting the wifi connection. I'm having the same same issue with video chat. My girlfriend and I have been using it to chat for the past 3 months. We've had issues from late December/early Jan.Neither of us have any network issue. I can only guess that it's a server issue. Maybe testing for bb10? Anyone got any other suggestions? Advice?
