Changing provider icons and screensavers

I am have just switched from Cingular to Tmobile and am still using my cingular 7230 (it was not locked). Is there a way to get rid of all the cingular icons, screeensaver and wall paper? Is there a way to load all the Tmobile icons? I was so traumatized by cingulars poor customer service I break out in a rash.

Try loading the TMO OS http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=1871 but first read this part of the same faq "I Installed 4.0 OS from another carrier. It doesn't work!"

If you do a search for javaloader you can wipe it first.

Loading another carrier's version of the OS will not do anything with the branding. As far as T-Mobile icons, you should get the T-ZOnes browser and e-mail icons when you register. But you will not be able to change the original splash screen. Maybe the screensaver - but I don't think so.

OS did not work

Loading the O.S. did not work. But it did give me some great additional features.

As for the Icons. , I still have the cingular web browser icon and I still get the cingular "be safe " screen when I power on and power off.

I know this probably sounds petty, but I really want to get all the cingular stuff off of there.

I've been thinking the same thing about my Cingular-Blue BB7290. It still boots up with an ATTWireless logo/splash-screen. I figured maybe someday Cingular would get these phones updated somehow.

Actually, when 4.0 was released I kinda expected it. Oh well.

The boot screen is flashed into the device itself, upgrading the software will not change the boot screen, to do this you would have to hook it up to a ROM Flasher...
