Blocking BBM messages, but still a contact?

Can someone still be in my contact list, yet block me from sending a messages? I sent a message to someone and it is not showing the "d" but all my other messages to those that I have sent messages to are being sent without any problems with the exception of this one contact. Could this "contact" have blocked me but still shows as a contact in my bbm list?

They could have blocked you via the Firewall on their device. I've seen this happen more frequently however when somebody changes BlackBerry devices and I'm still using their old PIN in my contacts.

So if they blocked me yet I can still send messages that are being undelivered would they still show as a contact under my bbm? How does one block specified people using firewalls and NOT the entire contact list?

If a contact changes devices, but the pin of their old BB is not released, their pin would show in your contacts, but your messages would not be delivered.
