9930 Unable to connect to the Internet
Happened once or twice before, but this is now becoming offensive. Browser not loading any web page, either from a bookmark or entering manually. Wi-Fi diagnostics show everything normal except DNS times out when trying to access any valid host. Turning off Wi-Fi makes no difference, full scale 3G signal, no lack of available options. Manually turning them both off and on again makes no difference. Web browsing service books are present and no other diagnostics are showing that there’s anything wrong.
Along with the browser not working, Logicmail is also blocked from operating, can’t find or refresh any mail server or folders. But while the BB browser and Logicmail are not working, the BB Gmail app is still working. Unlike Logicmail, Gmail is hard-coded to use carrier internet, and has no difficulty accessing folders and messages. Exiting all apps makes no difference. A device reboot (three-finger salute) or a battery pull restores internet access, but this is unacceptable. Has anyone else found a solution for this recurring problem? |
