this hasta be new

I am on my second BB Curve 8300. I am on ATT .311 os and i noticed somehting quite spectacular.

my last phone worked fine, just had some backlite problems, but one thing it did, along with my bb tmobile unlocked pearl was that when it was dropped or hit hard enough, i would get the error, INVALID SIM, and it would go into SOS mode. Well today my phone slipped out of my breast pocket. as my heart lept as i heard it hit my floor (felll 3 feet, thankyou bb case) i noticed it something. i watched as my service decreased then INVALID SIM/SOS, not 2 seconds later, it reset itself, gaining it's EDGE back and back to normal.

on my old curve and pearl, i would havta soft-reset, and if that didn't work, battery pull.

i just had to share this beautiful fix i found, an automatic sim/connection reset on failure... *cries* finally :)

...lol, great! Hoping that it was not just coincidental.

lol me too, lets just say im not going to create a controled expiriment, if my phone ever seems to drop again...heavens forbid, then i will check if it did it again. but until it accidentally, lol, im not gonna let it.

Yeah, I won't be testing that!

Sounds like the issue with treo 650's where pressure in the wrong place could make the SIM lose contact.

so are you telling us to throw our phones on the ground????? I'll test it with my buddy's phone! maybe outside in the parking lot... and when I say "buddy" I mean the person I really don't like.

This must be a bad week for me cause I have "tested" it twice in the last 2 dats...ugh

Thank god for cases..

But yes, every time it auto-resets it connection from sim card error - ATT - GSM gprs edge EDGE

Ooohh yeah haha
