This BlackBerry Messenger upgrade 5.0.1.46 was included in the 9650 .466 leaded upgrade, but supposedly will work with any OS 6 device.

I've been running .466 for about 18 hours now. The cursor is right where it should be.

Of course, I didn't have the java errors others are reporting or the missing Text icon either. YMMV but it works well for me.

Good catch dude - installing it now. Maybe I'll have a cursor in it now on my 9780...Grrrrrr.

Well - that was a big waste of 5 minutes...doesn't fix the cursor issue at all.

This version also does not fix the issue with not being able to send pictures (...unable to save the file... Cannot receive voice notes or pics anymore on Blac... - BlackBerry Support Community Forums )

5.0.2.12 is the latest in Appworld, doesn't that make this release somewhat obsolete?

Absolutely - but if you look at the posting dates, they are just around the time .12 was released...

just go to blackberry.com/messenger and download again
it will appear after you replace it
