transferring phone book

I'am having difficulty transferring my curve 8520 phone book to my car pioneer bluetooth adapter cd-btb200. I have followed the instructions in both manuals without success. Can anyone help me?

Not all phones and cars are compatible. Make sure the units are paired and do a battery pull on the BB to reload the OS then try and see if it works. If not then you may have a car thats not fully compatible.

the limit is BMW and Audi based on the info from RIM but there may be others not listed by RIM.

Nothing to do with the car... it's an aftermarket Pioneer unit. It is synced/paired and every function works... except for transferring the phone book.

Same thing. The BlackBerry is not compatible with the address book functions on many bluetooth car kits and built in units.

Re: transferring phone book

The problem is the Curve uses Object Push Profile (OPP) to send contacts when you select the Transfer Contacts function. In order to receive contacts via OPP on the CD-BTB200 you have to enable the Phone Book Transfer function which when you hit START (or equivalent), disconnects the Bluetooth connection.

So, to send contacts, the Curve needs somewhere to send it and prior to receiving the contacts the CD-BTB200 disconnects the connection.

Just perfect.
