car cradle compatibility question

for my q10, i got smooth talker car cradle chargers that work fine

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...it-cradle.html

wonder if there's any chance they will work with classic when i get it later (after at&t makes available). (i know, i could start searching for specs on each, but i thought one of our many experts here might have good idea top of head!)

thx

not the greatest classic review but he concedes it's number one for business use. some of the video, though, made me think my current q10 car charger kit may not work with classic (argh). still looking forward to at&t getting it

Re: car cradle compatibility question

i think today may be first day at&t stores are supposed to have classic. i have a home charger, and installed car chargers, for q10 and would sure be great to learn existing chargers really would work with classic. maybe i can take the home charger in and see if they'll let me connect it to a display model classic for a moment. if anyone has any new information on this issue, would gratefully receive!

Re: car cradle compatibility question

The classic should have based on the spec's the same power connector used on the Z10 and Q type phones. As for the BT connection, it also should be ok. I doubt Blackberry would go for a change to a proprietary type BT interface, hopefully!!!!!!

Re: car cradle compatibility question

bummer. i went into a local at&t store today and saw blackberry classic display model. it was a beautiful phone and i nearly purchased, but its charging connection is not (repeat, not) compatible with what i have for current blackberry q10. the current blackberry q10 has its charge/connection point on the left side of the phone. by contrast, the blackberry classic display model had no connection at all on the left side of the phone; its connection instead appeared to be at the bottom center of the phone. for me that means car kits both cars for the q10, and home charger as well, all useless. i also found out i have another five or so months before another at&t upgrade and since the q10 still works fine, i guess i'll keep on going with it for now
