9100 to 9105 or vice versa
Any idea if one can change a 9100 to a 9105 or vice versa?
I own a 9105, which is the only version sold outside the USA, and I wish to turn it into a 9100. -- I can get hold of the 9100 keyboard, but then can we remap? I know it is the same device, with the exception of a keypad for the 9105 (ABC) versus a keyboard for the 9100 (QWERTY). |

You cannot remap the keyboard.

I think it's easier to sell 9105 and buy a 9100.

Re: 9100 to 9105 or vice versa
I thought so, but was wondering if there was an easy solution between those two devices.
It must be the same as the inability to map a keyboard from one keyboard version to another (such as QWERTY to QWERTZ or other). |
Re: 9100 to 9105 or vice versa
Hello,
I am researching the same topic. In web pictures, we can see that membrane connectors are the same in bb 9100/bb 9105. But I can not find anyone who knows if the bb is firmware locked. Is it enough just changing the membrane and keyboard? or Is it necessary to change some parameter in firmware? .... That's the question .... Anyone have new information about this topic?. :-( |
