Sync Issues

I am running BES 4.0 with SP2. I got about 20 users. All is okay except yesterday one of our users is experiencing some sync issues. Basically, when the user deletes in Outlook, the email does not delete from handheld. We have 7100Gs from Cingular. No settings have changed. Does this mean I have to wipe the hanheld? Anything else I can do to resolve this?

Hello. Maybe change was made on the blackberry unit? In the message option and then Email reconciliation menu.. does the wireless reconcile is on? and the delete on settings ok?

don't know but worth the check.

I had an issue that was sort of the same...and appt was deleted in outlook but never disappeared on the handheld.

I talked with RIM and was told that *SOMETIMES* just powering off the unit, removing/replacing the battery will correct these type of discrepancies.

Another tip, to force a PIM resync, delete the "Desktop[SYNC]" service book and then immediately undelete it.

Yes, the settings on the handheld are correct. I haven't tried the battery removal thing and service book thing. I will try those things and see what happens. Thanks.

you could try resending the service book and IT policies.

Use your web client to re-send your service book there is a option to do it and it may take a while to get it

There will be a section in your BES manager that allows you to resend your SB and policies.
