Connecting to Mobile Internet Freezes Computer

I just started having an issue where using desktop manager to connect to the mobile internet for tethering causes my computer to freeze. The only option I have is to power down my laptop. I've tried uninstalling desktop manager a few times even following the "full uninstall".

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Just to confirm, the issue you are having is with your notebook computer and not your blackberry right?

With that being the case, it sounds like it may be hardware related with the computer drivers (as you've already re-installed the DM). Have you tried downgrading DM and seeing if that works?

Good luck,

Yes the PC is freezing, BB is fine. I haven't tried to downgrade. I'll keep plugging away at it and hope for the best. Thanks for the reply.

SOLVED: Re: Connecting to Mobile Internet Freezes Computer

I've solved my issue. After trying anything I could think of; reinstall BB DM, update modem drivers etc... multiple times. I narrowed the issue to dial-up networking. I tried using the modem only to tether the BB. Once the connection authenticated the PC froze. I did more searching of the Internet and came across this page:

pcruneasy.com/tutorials/windows-xp/dialup-networking/reinstall-dun.php

I ran the command
Code:

netsh int ip reset c:\tcpipreset.txt
I checked the txt file that was created and quite a number of registry keys were reset. I suppose I'll have some configuration to put back on my TCP/IP settings. We'll see.
