Can't send email to some addresses

Hello Folks.....
Verizon 7250
OS 4.1

As some of you know from my previous post today, I've been having quite a day with my BB. Latest issue is this - I'm trying to email a friend at what I know is a good address. After I send, I immedately get this message sent to my vzw.blackberry.com address:

[2 Attachments}
The following message to <insert my friend's email addy here> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error
517 - 'Syntax error.'

-----------Embedded Message --------------
It then goes on with a blank message and then the original message that I tried to send. At this point, it only seems to be effecting this address but I know the addy is good because I've checked by sending him an email from my computer.

It's a good thing I can't track down Norman at Verizon tech support who freaking insisted on upgrading my BIS which had worked flawlessly for two years!!!!!!!! I'd probably strangle him to death because I've had nothing but problems for 24 hours.

You guys came through big time this morning....can you help me out again?

Thanks!!!

First thing is what version of WC is it? Another thing, try deleting your service books and resending them.

I've stumbled on this problem with Nextel's network and couldn't figure out a 100% way to fix it. The first paragraph is the only thing I can think of. If some one has a sure-fire way to fix this, I'm all ears.

Thanks for the response ghostly.

I ended up back on the phone with verizon tech support.....i've spent more time with them the last week than with my family.

Essentially, they had to reactivate my email and resend the service books which seemed to fix the problem.

Thank you. I'll try this next time it happens.
