Can you have software for two different BBs on one computer?

A while back I downloaded a OS for my husband's & my BB Torch 9850. Wiped them out with JL commander, put the desired OS on both of them, all went well.

I'm planning on a trip, and decided I'd rather take my BB Bold 9650, so I downloaded the newer software above, for Sprint, multi-language. I wiped the Bold with JL Commander, fine, no problem. Deleted the Vendor.xml file, fine. But when I click on the loader.exe file in the same folder, it says it doesn't have the software for this handset. There is a folder in the Research In Motion folder that says "shared" and it has both the 9650 and the 9850. Do I need to do something different if I have software for the Torch still on the computer?

THANKS!

There are two schools on this question.

Some believe that you should delete all other OS versions except the one you want to load. Obviously people who use the same computer would find this difficult. So, some believe you should uninstall all others.

I have had over 10 OS version (different handset OS and same handset different version) installed on my computer at the same time and I have never had an issue. In fact, only time I see an issue is when someone uses the loader.exe

TL;DR - If the problems continue, then delete all others and just keep the one you want to load.

Ok, and I was using the loader.exe. That's the only way I know to do it, because that's what is in the directions posted with OS 6 that I wanted. Since you said you had up to 10 versions on at once I decided to download the version again and try. I did and on the first try after the re-download it worked! I had tried I don't know how many times! I can't imagine how the download would have been corrupted the first time, and I downloaded the same thing, but since you said you had TEN I thought I'd give it another whirl and it worked! Thanks so much ZB!
