Question about Unlocked BB Storm 2
Hello everyone, I am a new member here. I have a question regarding my unlocked BB Storm 2. I was in Verizon but now I am using the Walmart Family Mobile(under TMobile). Is there a way so I can use the data service? I called the tech. support of the Family Mobile and they told me that I cannot use the web pack if im using BB Storm 2.
I want to have a data service on my phone. Hoping to hear some helpful ideas. Thanks! |
Re: Question about Unlocked BB Storm 2
From my understanding, Walmart do not offer Blackberry Data, and so no, you cannot use data on a blackberry.

Thanks Draven, so what will I do? You think I can still use my phone if I will switch to another carrier? If so, which carrier should I go?
I love my phone and still wanna use it. |
Re: Question about Unlocked BB Storm 2
You won't be able to get data on prepaid in the US. TMobile recently discontinued theirs.
You will need a postpaid plan with either TMobile, AT&T or Verizon. |
Re: Question about Unlocked BB Storm 2
Thank you for ur reply. The postpaid plan with TMobile, does it has contract?

Re: Question about Unlocked BB Storm 2
You should call T-mobile and talk with them. Most BB data plans with the major carriers require a 2 year contract. T-Mo is sometimes a bit different, but I do not know what has transpired since the recently announced acquisition by AT&T. I doubt nothing has changed yet, but you should call and see.
You will also need to check your contract with Wal-Mart to see if you can cancel or if you can transfer to T-Mo, since they use T-Mo's network. |

In addition, once you get the data plan, you'll need to follow the Sticky Post at the top of 9500 storm section.
