Mapquest Navigator for PEARL ...

how in the world do you go about downloading this?
on site it says for Sprint / Nextel and gives no option for pearl/tmob
i'm on TMob

also, how much is this after 30-day trial?

i wonder if "Mapquest Navigator" is as crappy as mapquest's info on it's site for this application ???

why are the simplest facts ignored?

I just got my pearl and downloaded the Sprint / 8130e version and it seems to work fine... (so far).

Wirelessly posted (BB 8400: BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I've definitely had it for more than 30 days and it still works. 8100 on T-Mobile. There was another thread with the links posted. That, or just go to the Mapquest site and enter in your phone number and they SMS you the link.

There is a [link;URL="http://www.blackberryforums.com/gps-mapping/85254-mapquest-navigator-free-trial.html"]http://www.blackberryforums.com/gps-mapping/85254-mapquest-navigator-free-trial.html[/URL]
over in the GPS and Mapping section, but will answer the questions here.

Use the Mapquest.Com website and select Mobile. Click the "30 day free trial" link and select the Sprint 7130e model phone. It will ask for your phone number in order to send an SMS to.

Be sure you have good signal strength before downloading, otherwise, you may have multiple download failures.

Supposed to be free for 30 days, after that $10 USD. It should prompt you to contact Customer Service to register, but a poster above said it was still going. I have an email from them that says it is good for 90 days before having to activate.

For Pearl (8100) users, I just tried this morning on the latest OS 4.2.1.101 and all audio was coming through my BT headset. Downside was that all the words didn't come through because it had to open an audio connection to the headset, say the phrase and then disconnect. During the open, it didn't pause to say the phrase so you would here, ...(in 400 fe)et, turn left.

Try InfoSpace Findit, it's free and the voice navigation works flawlessly.

but it does not work with pearl and external pucks so it's useless to lots of us, including me :-(
