Wtf??????
I got a PB today and cannot be more disspointed but maybe you guys have some answers that would keep me from returning this piece of s$?!.
1.- already know att won't allow the bridge connection so it leaves me with just wifi 2.- cannot pair it with my torch for some reason 3.- i cannot download any android apps because i don't have a android phone registered so what can i use this tablet for? am i doing something wrong? |
Re: Wtf??????
1) For now, that is true.
2) Can you clarify? Do you get an error? What are you doing to pair? 3) The PlayBook can't run Android apps yet. Why download? |
Re: Wtf??????
1) To download the Bridge on an AT&T BB, go to BlackBerry App World - BlackBerry Bridge from your BB (h t t p://bit.ly/blackberrybridge)

Re: Wtf??????

Re: Wtf??????
Contact AT&T - and try the links here http://crackberry.com/att-blackberry-bridge-download

Re: Wtf??????
Go here and download alx and install via DM
Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites! Extract the zip file Plug in device>Open Desktop Manager Select Apploader>Add/Remove Applications Select Add Browse where the file is Select the .alx file and Select Open>Select Next AT&T can only stop you from downloading, not installing and using. Cheers, |

Re: Wtf??????

Re: Wtf??????
AT&T users who encounter the message that Bridge is not supported on ATT may try this OTA (over the air) links directly from their BlackBerry browser:

Re: Wtf??????
You must be doing something wrong, I got the software from the link in post #3 - just checked it and it still connects to the dropbox site perfectly
After I downloaded the bridge and successfully installed on my torch, I went to Staples and set up the bridge on the demo unit with no issues at all - except that the bar code scan wasn't playing nice. I selected manual, my BB picked up the playbook via bluetooth, confirmed the ID number, entered the passcode and done. I was even able to browse the internet using the 3G from my BB. For a "beta" unit it seems really nice, but I will not purchase one until: The AT&T issue is officially settled They get BES working They get BBM working There are some real Apps in Appworld worth downloading The Android compatibility App is released Otherwise I will just get a Galaxy Tab 8.9 and call it a day. I am willing to wait, but not forever, otherwise you never wind up buying a tablet, since a new, better one will be released every 3-4 months. |
Re: Wtf??????
finally got it!, when i followed the links you guys posted it took me to a blank page all the time, so i finally used my brain and deleted the cache, etc, etc and it worked.
THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!! |
