Hotmail now works.
For those interested.
Hotmail now works through Tmobile |
Yes, it's absolutely true. But....
I have free Hotmail accounts that I created around 1999 & 2000. I was able to set them both up at My T-Mobile no problem. Tested and working from the BlackBerry. Fabulous! On the other hand, I have another Hotmail account that I created in 2002. When I try to set it up at My T-Mobile it brings up a page notifying me that I need a Hotmail subscription, to first enable Outlook access to Hotmail, then to return to My T-Mob to set it up. Still, I am happy about this. Getting Hotmail via the browser is a HUGE pain. Thanks for letting us all know, Number_44! |
gahh yeah mine has the same problem, it tells me I need a Hotmail Plus account blah blah blah. Thanks for the heads up though! At least it's one step better than it used to be...
|
Mine does not work either, thanks though(y)
|
WTF???????????? Dude I tried it again, and it worked! I created that hotmail account in Nov of 04!
|
sweet I am gonna try it!!! oh please let it work my hotmail is the only acct I cant get from my BB(y)
|
sweet!
the first poll after setup was a five minute wait, but the delete from server (and handheld) was instant!
trumpets and choirs rejoice! |
Is there a way I can set my hotmail address so that it forwards my email to my BB account? or do I just have to check my hotmail via the browser?
thanks. |
I set it up, but still having some issues receiving it via "push"
|
Huh? It worked for me (no push) since Oct. But it's a pain in the ass. mac mail is a dream though.
|
nope, still requires me to have a paid hotmail account...
|
Really? Have you tried the Windows Live beta? That's free.

Access to Hotmailxxx8482; now requires a subscription e-mail account, you must first enable Outlook or Outlook Express access within Hotmail. To enable Outlook or Outlook Express access within Hotmail, click here to open Hotmail's support page and follow the instructions. Once you have enabled Outlook or Outlook Express access to your Hotmail account, return to this page. "Hotmail" is the registered trademark of Hotmail, Inc. All rights are reserved to its owner. When I click on the link, it links me to where I can buy a hotmail account subscription :( |
I'm confused.....what's "better" than it was before? So far, mine isn't working the same way it wasn't working before...

Man that had me excited...
too bad it still didn't work for me, even w/ windows live, and now there trying out windows live mobile and it even says you can get mobile access to your hotmail, but when i signed up and checked it out there was no link for email. id give up the account if i hadn't had it for so long... |
It worked for me. I tried to do it about a month or two ago and it didn't work. So they must have did something. I have had my email account for a very long time though. All in all I am happy. I have access to all of my email accounts now.
|
I actually seemed to get 1 email through today. It was weird. I set this up 4-5 days ago and only got one, but got 10+ on the mailbox itself.
Anyone know if i have to configure it like Gmail for pop3?? |
I still have not got any, my mail box had about 15, none went through.
|
Working just fine for me. Created my account in '98/99. When did you guys create yours?
