q10 text message scroll issue while composing
i decided to partially join 21st century yesterday and had at&t liven up text messaging for my q10. when a draft text message exceeded two lines, i found the screen would not scroll and i would be typing blind unless i got off the keyboard and manually scrolled the screen down. i googled and found the workaround for now (must use 9point font or smaller) (sigh, sort of like earlier issue with displayed text on locked screen, for which i had to go down to 12point before). hope blackberry can fix this problem too

Do you play with your fonts?
Are you on 10.2? |
Re: q10 text message scroll issue while composing
i don't "play" with the fonts. i deliberately set them originally to 14point where i wanted them. later i got forced to reduce them to 12-point to resolve the problem with displayed text on locked screen. today i got forced to reduce them to 9-point if i want text messaging to work adequately. (both reductions hard on my older eyes.) my "about" shows software release 10.1.0.2030. i would probably need help upgrading that and am a little nervous about trying, particularly if there were no reason to believe it would address these screen problems. thx

Re: q10 text message scroll issue while composing
I was trying to cover more than one base. Keep the fonts under 10 and you shouldn't have a problem. As for 10.2, I was just asking.

And then I can't read them without my reading glasses.
Font control is a mess in BB10 - it is my single show stopper. |
