WiFi Signal Meter
I'm not sure if this has been answered, before. I tried searching everywhere for it but couldn't find it.
When I made a theme on Plazmic for my 8320, I noticed that there was an antenna icon for WiFi (or that's what I think it's for). I was wondering if there was any way to bring this to show up so I know how strong my signal is for my WiFi connections. Thanks. |
The antenna with the bars is for UMA. Standard wifi is only a badge.

Thanks, Shaun.
That clears it all up. |

I know what you are referring to. The theme builder has a SEPARATE wifi signal strength indicator. see attached thumbnail. The indicator usually sits on top of / under the standard signal strength indicator, i have just moved it so you could see it clearly.
I have also tried creating a theme with this indicator out in its own area, but even with an active wifi connection, it doesn't show up on the blackberry at all. so for the moment we must assume its there for future compatibly with a new os release. |
thanks for the info, helps a lot!

This is for UMA, and not future implementation. When I look at the Wifi properties on my Bold, I can see the signal strength, but there is no way to get that to display in the ribbon on the home screen. |
