New BB Devices for Verizon
It seems like Verizon has given up on BB. It has not announced any new BB devices in about a year and now CES announcements do not even mention BB (even 3G).

Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
Did you look in the Rumors section? there is some discussion about a Storm 3 which would probably CDMA if it was released. Also the 9670 on Sprint could also go to Verizon at some point.

Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
The rumors for the Storm3 (which I would love) have been around for a year and no reason to believe they are real. Even these rumors are far off for availability. If I can ever get a Android phone that will reliably sync with Outlook I am history as far as RIM is concerned.
I am tired of rumors it time for new phones now! |
Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
every phone company will have the rumors and there will be some CDMA releases that you can get for the Verizon network, have you thought about finding a purely unlocked device thought?

Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
It does seem like Sprint now has the inside track on new CDMA BlackBerrys. Both got the Bold 9650, then Sprint got the BB Style. Rumors of a CDMA Torch have resurfaced and all sign point to Sprint for that model too. Sprint missed out on the Storm, but that may have been a fortuitous miss as that model has been plagued with problems.
Verizon had the early lead in Android. Sprint seemed to get even (if not ahead) with the HTC Evo, but they're slipping behind again. The Droid was a huge win for Verizon. And now "Big Red" is getting the iPhone. I've been flirting with Android on Sprint, having bought both the Epic 4G and the Evo 4G. But I'm back with BlackBerry full time now. Feels like I passed a kidney stone when I re-activated my Bold. So give me the rumored 9330 Torch on Sprint and I will truly have it all. |
Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
I think VZW is betting the farm on Android and the iPhone. There wasn't even a Win Mobile 7 device for them either.

Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
Mid-summer for Verizon & Sprint to get WP7 phones.

Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
They were due to release the 9330 Curve 3G. I thought they had already, but obviously not.

So that's a new blackberry device, within the last year.
What kind of new BB's is the OP expecting then. |
Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
Big Verizon announcement at 1/11/11 at 11:00 a.m.
WSJ thinks its an iphone announcement |
Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
I think it will be iPhone, too... all indications are that it will be.

Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
The "9330" I was referring to was rumored to be the CDMA version of the 9800 Torch. It was a hot topic back in May of last year, and since then either RIM changed the designation of the Torch or the rumor boys got stuff mixed up. Maybe both.
I guess now it would the the 9830 for the CDMA Torch. Whatever you want to use as a designation, put it out for Sprint and I'm all over it!:smile: |

Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
It seems pretty evident that VZW has put the BB out to pasture. The Android devices coming out for VZW in the next fews months are better than most peoples computers.

Re: New BB Devices for Verizon
Zero, I don't think they've put it out to pasture.
Just wait. |
