Driving directions for the 7130e

Does anyone out there know if there's a Navigation app available for the 7130e? I'm looking for something similar to Telenav.

thanks

Verizon does not expose the gps info to the device. I believe they have a corporate (read $$$$$) product available. Right now, you are pretty much looking at a nextel device or an external gps device (which for me, defeats it)

That's too bad... I have the 7520 & like it but could really use the EVDO & tethering capability of the 7130e. A BB 8700 w/ evdo + GPS directions on the verizon network would be a dream but I guess its too good to be true - depressing.

thanks

Verizon will take every last cent they can... I would wait for the 87xx cdma device and then get an external gps receiver for it. That *should* work.

Thanks - this question probably gets asked all the time, here I go again - any idea when the 8700 CDMA will be available?

An educated guess: late Q3 to mid Q4.

Its also important to keep in mind that Verizon might attempt to restrict your ability to use anything other than a headset via bluetooth. Or at the very least, make you promise your first born AND your first born's first born to be able to properly use it  :)

You can buy Bluetooth GPS devices and software, which are compatible with the 7250 on Verizon and other carriers.

IMO this solution has advantages, as you can position the GPS device in an optimum location to receive GPS signals....

This configuration makes a great hands-free device, although I would like to use the other features (text messaging on the TomTom), but that requires GPRS.
