BB automatically deletes messages and calls

I have a BB Curve, for some reason it has started to delete my SMS messages and recent call activity. I know you can do this manually, but it just does it on its own. I know how to change setting to delete after X amount of messages or after X time frame, but I'll be in the middle of texing someone, go back to a text so that I can reply and the SMS messages will be gone :x
Is there a way I have accidently set the phone to delete them like this? I don't know of any setting that would do this, but then again I'm no where near a BB expert!
Thanks

Yep. It's a memory issue.

What's your file free (Options > Status)?

Pull your battery out for 30 seconds and then check again.

Post both results back here and welcome to the forums.

It is recommended that you have at least 12MB for normal device operations. However, I have seen many devices working cool with lesser amount of free

Status is:
File Free: 0
File Total: 54919168

I've turned the phone off, taken the battery out for 5 or so minutes, turned it on and the status is still the same.

So obviously it is a memory issue (thanks JSCONVERS). I've read the link that MRKYOO posted, and it shouldn't be a problem...it just seems a bit involved. Are there any other options available to free up some memory?

The link that MrKyoo posted will help significantly. There is an app called MaxMem that does the same thing, it may be easier for you to fo.

Also, take a look at these links.

To the OP, you need to remove the battery with the phone TURNED ON.

Good catch!

OOO I didn't know that about taking the battery out while the phone was on. Thanks.

It's a rule of thumb and is subject to the limitations of most guidelines out there. I've been running with 8 or less for about a year. The actual amount free doesn't matter. It's running out that really matters. You just have a bigger safety margin with more free.

The biggest IMO is make sure you have a media card and keep all media files (photos, videos, ringtones, music) on the media card.
