Sync on Leopard: Missing Sync?
 

Sorry for redundant posts, but some of the posts relating to "PocketMac" free sync, are rather outdated. I downloaded PocketMac for my pearl, and it seems to open fine, detecting sync connection, but nothing actually happens (using Entourage 2008).

I was wondering if Missing Sync works well with office 08 apps for my mac.

Keep in mind i haven't bought Missing Sync(yet). I saw a feature in which i tried to test out was the e-mail forwarding "while i'm away from my mac". What really defines being "away" ? is it having Entourage 2008 completely closed? Regardless, the feature did not work when i had entourage closed, nothing ever got forwarded to my pearl BB email addy.

I don't think either support M$ Office '08 yet? To confirm its not PocketMac or Missing Sync try syncing with iCal, Address Book to see whether its the apps or M$. Make sure you back up first.

I have experienced the same issue- welcome to early adopter hell.

The only solution for the time being is to configure Entourage 2008 to Sync with your .Mac account (& by default iCal and AddressBook) then download PocketMac or Purchase Missing Sync. Configure them to sync to iCal and AddressBook instead of Entourage. Not elegant but a workaround nonetheless.

We can only hope that this isn't too far down the roadmap with the developers of Missing Sync and PocketMac. My guess is you can forget MSFT doing anything with a sync plugin (like what exists with Entourage 2004) for the new version anytime soon.
