I got my First Blackberry, intro part 2.
 

well i got my first blackberry yesterday, its a Nextel 7100i.
i love this phone i was messing around with it all day long.
so far i have added Ramble and Berry411.
im very much a BB n00b.
if you guys have any tips on it or anything let me know.

i have 1 ques right now, is it posible to reorder the icons on home page?

is there a program where when you sync the BB to the destop i can manage my contact list? i.e. edit names,address, and such ?

RTM, Search? See the CD that came with your BB to begin with...

Go to the icon you want to move, click the wheel, and choose move, then simply scroll the wheel moving it ot the location you want it in, you can also hides icons by going ot the icon, clicking on the wheel and choosing to hide the application.

Hold down the alt key while clicking the wheel. The drop-down menu will provide a move option.

thats guys, i didnt want to be scroll from one end of the list to the end looking for the apps.

when i open it a little window pops up and has 3 icons, Application Loader,Backup and restore and Intellisync. none of them allow me to edit my contact list just save them on the computer to back them up.

So select outlook as your synch option and then go into outlook to edit. Simple.

i have another ques. when i try to go to blackberryforums.com the browser say that the server can not understand the page request.
am i doing something wrong?

i have another ques. when i sync my BB outlook express doesnt open up.
also when i edit my contacts in outlook they dont get edited on my BB, how do i fix that?


edit: nvm figured it out.

I dont think it will open outlook express only outlook, if I am wrong some one will correct me in a few I am sure, as far as your contacts you have to go into them to edit them they do not pop open at all. Open outlook search for contacts, edit to your hearts content resynch and now your BB should be the same as your contacts in the pc. Synching does nothing more than making sure that your BB and PC have the same, if they are they it is happy, if you make changes in either the next time you synch it will then prompt you as to what the differrence is and whether you want to accept changing the other.

ya i figured it out i had to click the intellisync icon and click synchronize,
when i edited my contacts they werent changed, thats why i was asking becuase it didnt change them and i thought it was automaticly going to change.
