My chief complaint over the last three 9780 beta os's has been duplicating keys or double key presses. I am anxious to see if it has been resolved. I am currently restoring the data and 3rd party apps. I was told that it was a software error, but I am not convinced.

Radio seems better. Overall the OS seems faster. Double key press is still present

The double key press is seemingly hardware related. I've had it for quite some time. Downgrading to older versions where the issue was not originally present has not resolved the issue for me. Some members here have had the phones replaced and it had resolved the issues. I changed out my keyboard, but that only fixed it for a few days. It seems to be the ribbon between the keyboard and the PCB. I have not noticed anything different between this OS and .546.

RMA on Bell doesn't yield anything except a repair, where you have to send the phone back and lose it for a few weeks..morons. They used to be like Rogers, but changed to this new system a year or more ago.

my 9780 software version is 6.0.0.285 platform 6.5.0.54 . presently my carrier has no updates and I always get message that your bb is up to date (when trying to update). I am new to BB and this is my 1st BBso is this update possible for my device ?

The reason you get the message is because your specific carrier has no new updates, but you can certainly update to the latest version: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...languages.html.

Follow the directions exactly and make sure to delete the vendor.xml file as stated. If you'd rather install the latest leaked version, still follow the directions from the link above but download the leak instead.

and there chose the version with platform 6.5.0.54 and software version 2.0.0.294 , installed this and followed the instructions exactly, my application loader finds nothing and nothing happaened actually? nowhere it shows that there is a update ? whats the problem? please guide... Update: Finally managed to update with 6.0.0.526 and everything seems fine so far. FAQ was great help to understand the update process. Thanks!
