Make a call from an email message
Hi,
I am using BES Express in a Windows 2003 AD domain. Sometimes, users will just email me to call them. Is it possible to make a call dirrectly from the email message - that is, select the email message or open it and press the call button to call the sender of the email message. IS this possible? Normally, I would close the email message, go to my address book/contacts, search for the user and call from there. The user is a member of AD and has a BB account in the BES server. The AD account has his Blackberry mobile telephone number. I think I am missing something as this sounds simple enough. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks |
Re: Make a call from an email message
If the number is in the email, highlight it, press the trackpad, and select call.
If the number is not in the email, press the green call button, type the initials of the person you want to call, seperated by a space, and select the proper contact from the list. Posted using the magic of the mobile internet. |
Re: Make a call from an email message
Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. The number is not in the email. However, when I press the green call button and type the initials of the person to call, seperated by a space, the contact cannot be found. Please note that I am trying to avoid doing all this as the person who sent the email is the person I would like to call. |
Re: Make a call from an email message
Highlight the person's name in the "From:" field in the email message, press the Menu button and select "Call xxxxxx".
Note this of course will only work if the person's phone number is already in your Contacts. |
